ARTEVÏNO Wine Competition Awards Silver and Bronze to Casa-Dea!

We’re so pleased to have won a Silver Medal for our 2008 CD Rosso and Bronze for 2008 Dea’s Cuvee, 2009 Cabernet Franc Rose and our 2009 Pinot Gris for the sixth annual 2010 ARTEVÏNO Wine Competition Awards. We had a wonderful time at this year’s event!

Introducing ~ Chef Tom Madden
A message from our new chef!

After thirty years of learning, improving, creating and teaching, I am happy to return to this area as chef at Casa Dea Estates Winery.

It’s my mission to offer enticing, authentic Italian entrees at La Pergola that complement the wines. In addition, I'll draw upon my wedding banquet experience to make on site weddings and other functions superb.

The food will be fresh and seasonal, low-fat with maximum flavor for you to experience and enjoy.

My previous experience includes: The Towne Haus in Brockville, Glenwood Manor Inn in Gananoque, The Green Door Vegetarian Restaurant in Ottawa, Maddens Courtyard in Bath, Stepping Stone Inn in Westport.

 

I'm looking forward to working in Prince Edward County for the setting, the friendly people, access to quality local produce, and the satisfaction of being part of a team that successfully offers great food and wine.

Terroir 2010

 

Casa Dea Estates will be at the Crystal Palace for this annual event.  Last year our 2007 Rosso won Silver in the Pinot Noir, Gamay, St. Laurenta category.  What can we accomplish this year? 

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.  Admittance restricted to those 19 years of age and older.

Artevino 2010 at the Crystal Palace

Casa Dea Estates Winery will be there!

   The Quinte Arts Council (QAC) has teamed up with the Prince Edward County Arts Council (PECAC) to present this years’ Artevino at the Crystal Palace in Picton.
Those attending the event will enjoy an exceptional celebration of art in its many forms and help to support two arts councils, both dedicated to promoting and supporting the work of local artists and arts organizations.
Wine, finger foods and live music add ambiance to this event.  
Participants can attend the afternoon event for $35 (includes 10 tasting tickets).  Check the latest issue of Umbrella Magazine or the Quinte Arts Council website for a listing of all participants.

Casa Dea Wins Silver at ARTEVÏNO 2009 Wine Awards!

2007 Rosso in the Pinot Noir, Gamay, St. Laurenta category:
A panel of six judges led by David Lawrason, co-founder of the Canadian Wine Awards and wine columnist for Toronto Life, gathered at Capers Wine Bar and Brasserie in Belleville to blind taste more than 75 entries from 19 Prince Edward and Northumberland County wineries.
